An exhibition on digital fashion will open at the Generative Gallery in Winzavod on September 10. The project was organized by the gallery in collaboration with the school and studio of modern digital design “Alkali”.
The exhibition involved more than 20 artists, selected through an open call, who submitted ideas for digital images and accessories for their avatar. The selected participants then ended up in a digital lab, where, under the guidance of curators from “Alkali” and Generative Gallery, they created video art as well as accessories – physical digital fashion objects, printed on a 3D printer, which can not only be viewed, but also purchased in the gallery space of Winzavod.
The curators and experts in the selection of applications were the founder of Radugadesign studio and Generative Gallery Ivan Nefedkin, the director of Generative Gallery Anna Smirnova, the creator of the “Alkali” project and creative producer of Phygital Fashion Week Boris Shilin, digital artist Anna ŠOD, 3D teacher and digital fashion director of “Alkali”.
Let us remind you that the Winzavod Centre for Contemporary Art has published a book-length catalogue of the exhibition “What are you afraid of?” The first part of the publication, prepared within the framework of the Winzavod direction, includes a catalogue, and the second part contains reflections and research articles that examine the phenomenon of fears and anxieties through the prism of the humanities.
