Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov congratulated the graduates on the holiday.
“More recently, President Vladimir Putin approved priority areas of scientific and technological development and a list of the most important high-tech technologies,” Dmitry Chernyshenko recalled. – They show which vectors will be most important for our country in the coming years. This will help graduates to orient themselves and choose the right direction.
Among the priorities are areas related to energy, medicine, agriculture, information security, climate, transportation, communications and education.
Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that today, the coveted professional specialty can be obtained at higher educational institutions under the federal project “Professionalism”. There, students study in programs developed jointly with employers, gain their first experience of real work in production and are guaranteed employment at the country’s leading industrial enterprises.
University students also have ample opportunities. For example, Russian government awards and a number of personalized scholarships: A. Voznesensky for journalism students and writers, A. Sobchak and V. Tumanov – for lawyers, Yu Maslyukov – in the defense industry and others.
In addition, presidential scholarships will increase to 30 thousand. The first competitive selection of candidates for the new scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation for postgraduate and adjunct students in the amount of 75 thousand rubles has already been carried out.
“The most valuable resource you have is time,” Dmitry Chernyshenko told the graduates. – Use it to the maximum for self-realization. Believe in yourself, set high goals and be happy!
Sergei Kravtsov, in turn, noted that 664 thousand schoolchildren graduated from 11th grade this year.
– You have acquired a deep knowledge that you will be able to rely on in your further studies and in life. Your teachers did everything possible to ensure that each of you was successful; they invested in you their love, wisdom and experience. Now it is up to you. The future of our country is in your hands,” the minister stressed.
