Greening purchases a new portfolio of 45.4 MW solar projects in Andalusia

Greening Group has announced an agreement with OX2 for the purchase of a portfolio of solar projects of 45.4 megawatts (MW) in Andalusia, although the operation was registered in the last quarter of 2023, as indicated by the company. The entity’s planned investment in these projects, including the import of the agreed acquisition plus the ‘capex’ associated with construction and start-up, will amount to 39.1 million euros.

The agreement encompasses four projects distributed in two Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV), of which the two already started are located in the province of Granada, while the other two are located in the provinces of Cádiz. and Malaga, will do so in the first quarter of this year.

The renewable group has stated that these packages will contribute 84 gigawatt hours (GWh) to its own generation, they are expected to come into operation at the end of 2024. In this sense, it should be noted that both the size and location of the projects are favorable for hybridization with wind and storage plants.

Commitment to Andalusia

The CEO of Greening Group, Ignacio Salcedo, indicated that after this acquisition the company ensures that it will be able to build and put into operation four parks with a power of 45.4MW to generate energy that will be marketed through Lidera Energía to the industrial clients of the company.

In addition, he added that the transaction is aligned with the strategic objective of increasing the portfolio in operation globally by the end of 2024. “Likewise, it reinforces our commitment to Andalusia in the generation of a solid and integrated portfolio, producing constructive and operational synergies and further increasing the creation of direct and indirect employment in these areas,” he stressed.
