Complementing the system is a 60Wh battery, powered by a 65W charger included in the box. It charges with a USB-C connector, which today allows you to get by with almost one such charger for the entire fleet of devices. Tests have shown that when performing local tasks, the battery charge lasts about 10 hours, enough to fly to Kamchatka. For online assignments, you can count on 9 to 9.5 hours of work.

Frame? Well, what about the body? Metal on the outside, plastic on the inside. Reliable, decent and doesn’t weigh like a cast iron bridge. The design is sober: there are minimal decorations and perforations; This does not affect the cooling, but the sound is not brilliant, just normal. I wouldn’t look for bass here: it’s better to buy headphones, but otherwise everything is the same as the others.
The more compact MagicBook X 14 Pro is a new form factor for Honor. A year earlier, only the base model for the 14-inch version was presented. There is now also a high-end Pro configuration in a compact package. There is also a FullView display with thin bezels and a large usable surface. In addition, in 2024, for the first time on HONOR laptops, the eye protection technology known in smartphones appeared: “Dynamic Brightness”. By micro-adjusting the intensity of the backlight, this technology reduces strain on eye muscles when working on a laptop for long periods of time.
Here again we have a 13th generation Core i5 processor, the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics are a bit of a bottleneck and poorly optimized games like Troubles will run with great difficulty. But well-optimized ones like Atomic Heart fly like pretty, albeit with minimal graphics settings. And the already familiar 8 or 16 GB of RAM.
All MagicBook X models have multiple operating modes. When connected to a power source, you can use the Fn+P key combination to activate performance mode to solve tasks that require more processing power. And here, as in the 16-inch brother, there is a standard 512 GB drive and the option to install a second drive of up to 1 TB, we are talking about SSD, of course.

Like all versions of HONOR MagicBook The Pro models have a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button.
Now a few words about the basic configuration: HONOR MagicBook X 16. Everything is just as good here, but a little simpler. The screen is a little simpler: 16 inches, IPS with 45% NTSC color gamut, 1920×1200 resolution, 16:10 with a brightness of 300 nits.
The hardware is a 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor, not the 13th, but the graphics are the same: Intel Iris Xe Graphics G4. But there is no option to install an additional SSD, only the basic 512 GB plus 8 or 16 GB of RAM. And this is neither bad nor good. This is the base.
Accordingly, the battery here has a little less capacity – 42 Wh, so the battery life should be shorter, but the models are very balanced, so the machine runs for 7.5 to 8 hours.
There’s also no fingerprint scanner on the keyboard, so Windows Hello will have to make do with a PIN and password.
Communications for all models are implemented in the same way: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC. This is a good laptop game for gentlemen. Introducing Wi-Fi 7 inside can only be a marketing trick; there will be no practical benefit, especially in Russia.
What can you say about this line?
If compactness and weight are important to you, then the choice of the HONOR MagicBook X 14 Pro seems obvious: maximum performance and autonomy, together with a compact body, will give you what you are looking for. If you need everything and can do without bread, then the HONOR MagicBook X 16 Pro will have the screen diagonal, which is important for those who work with visual content or like to watch a movie in the evening. Well, the HONOR MagicBook Yes, the difference will be noticeable. But nothing else. In addition, there is also a version of the HONOR MagicBook X 16 without a pre-installed operating system, for the most budget-conscious.

A very strong point of HONOR laptops is the ecosystem and tools that ensure productive work. The HONOR Share function allows you to quickly transfer files between devices, and the multi-screen mode allows you to display the smartphone interface on the laptop screen, launch mobile applications and manage them, including dragging files from one device to another.
In addition, the HONOR Connect function is implemented. Thanks to it, you can get an ecosystem service at the Apple level, in particular, you can receive notifications on all devices, answer calls from a laptop, use the smartphone camera as a laptop webcam, use a mode of enhanced modem, as well as a keyboard and mouse set for all devices, combined into a single account.
