Thanks to the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” in Irkutsk, within the framework of the municipal program, more than 65 thousand square meters of emergency housing have already been relocated and the living conditions of 1,423 families (4,073 people) have been improved. This year, 80 Irkutsk families participating in the program have already received new apartments and payments for emergency housing. And at the end of December there will be more lucky ones: 422 more families. Of them, more than 350 families will move to the Evolution residential complex.
The residential complex is being built by the Irkutsk municipal developer JSC UKS. In 2021, two new blocks of 187 homes were built and delivered within the deadlines established in the contracts. Turnkey renovated apartments: move in and live.

The owners of the new homes are satisfied: the apartments are bright, spacious, and the quality of construction is high. Compared to the wooden barracks in which many displaced people lived their entire lives, this is heaven and earth.

He is not afraid that the area is far from the city center, because all the necessary infrastructure is nearby: the “Evolution” school operates, one of the most modern in Irkutsk, in September they opened a new school block number 57 for 500 places on Yaroslavsky Street, in the neighborhood there are two kindergartens, numerous shops, buses, not far away, a swimming pool.
– In the future, we plan to improve the park near the complex. The important thing is that there are also large manufacturing companies nearby, which are the engines of the Russian economy. In Novo Lenin and its surroundings you can live and work,” Ruslan Bolotov emphasized.
The program, as the city authorities admit, is unique: there are few places in the world where citizens are relocated to new housing at the expense of the budget. And the city of Irkutsk fulfills this with dignity.
– Despite economic difficulties, construction is progressing as planned and contractors meet their obligations. The city administration, together with the regional government, does everything possible to ensure that the resettlement process proceeds clearly and smoothly. I think we have set a good trend and our task is to continue it. Next year, Irkutsk plans to rent more than 24 thousand square meters under the program of relocation of dilapidated and dilapidated housing, the mayor of Irkutsk specified.
To this end, in July of this year, the city administration concluded a municipal contract for the construction of a residential complex on Yaroslavsky Street for the relocation of 390 housing units. Two more blocks with 170 homes will be built in the Evolution microdistrict. The home is scheduled to be delivered to the city in December 2024.

The Irkutsk municipal program for the relocation of dilapidated housing includes 309 apartment buildings declared dilapidated before January 1, 2017. These are 2,924 premises in which 8,055 people live. All of them must be resettled before the end of 2024. But at the same time, let us not forget that housing must not only be new, but also comfortable and with the necessary social infrastructure.
