The traditional International Children’s Film Festival “Scarlet Sails” named after Vasily Semenovich Lanovoy has started in sunny Artek.
Competitive films will be presented to the children’s audience by stellar guests. So, Sergei Garmash introduced the children to the highest grossing film of the current season – “Cheburashka”.
Nadezhda Babkina, who flew to Artek for the opening of the film festival, admitted to KP.RU that she had already managed to see Cheburashka with her grandchildren.
– “Cheburashka” conquered me with its kindness. I sobbed when I watched this film with my grandchildren, Nadezhda Georgievna shared with KP.RU. – I burst into tears just at the moment when the hero of Serezha Garmash gave Cheburashka. This did not happen, but last year my grandchildren visited here. It can be said that my dream came true.

And with the organizer Ira Gromova, we have developed very close, trusting, almost family relations. Now we are creating this miracle together. Every year we fly to Artek twice to prepare for the festival and then to the festival itself. All this trouble, all this fuss is fascinating, because it is kind, for good and, despite some difficulties, such joyful work. Because children are our future, because the seeds we sow, such fruits we will reap, the artist believes.
