High and mid-range hotels have taken over the summer season in Spain and in the world, and hotel companies are clear about it. For this very reason, IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has decided to launch a new mid-range conversion brand called Garner. The new proposal will be ready to be initially franchised in the United States in early September, and the first hotels are expected to open by the end of this year.
With the goal of expanding throughout the world, IHG expects the brand to reach a heritage of more than 500 hotels in the next 10 years and 1,000 hotels in the next 20 years in the United States alone. The hotelier has promised clients that the new brand offers “quiet stays” and a “reliable and relaxed” experience.
“Garner will be available at an affordable price along with the things guests value most, such as a convenient location, a good night’s sleep, and a great free hot breakfast, all at a quality and price that is currently hard to find in the market,” explained IHG.
For IHG Hotels & Resorts CEO Elie Maalouf, Garner is another “exciting” step forward in the transformation of the brand portfolio. “We have already received over 100 definitive expressions of interest in Garner, demonstrating the great potential of the segment,” he added.
