The incident occurred in February 2023 aboard the Pobeda airline. The plane flew from Moscow to Barnaul. An intoxicated passenger attempted to force his way into the cabin despite being prevented from doing so by a flight attendant.
At the destination airport the man was arrested. He was charged with “hooliganism” under article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The criminal case has been brought to court. The rioter faces up to seven years in prison for endangering flight safety, according to the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office.
