Many of them take part in the patriotic marathon of the “Russian Radio” propaganda team, starting with concerts in the war zone. And when the producer and founder of the “Earthlings” group Vladimir Kiselev proposed to establish an award fund from artists to those soldiers who were able to disable the enemy’s equipment, many colleagues in the store supported him. “We are grateful to all the artists who responded to this call. They absolutely selflessly participate in our propaganda teams and find the opportunity to allocate funds themselves – this is, of course, very important. After all, everything that is happening now concerns each of us. And a lot depends on our support, on our personal contribution,” says Sergey Bunin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian Media Group, which organizes concerts for military personnel.

The soldiers go on stage in camouflage and prefer to introduce themselves not by their names, but by military insignia. This is done for security reasons: there have already been cases when scammers lured fighters’ bonus money from their families, moreover, the front-line soldiers themselves try to protect relatives from excessive publicity. And the soldiers routinely talk about their exploits: “Reconnaissance found a 155-mm howitzer of American production M777 in the enemy. We hit it with two shots.” “And on our account, the American infantry fighting vehicle” Bradley “. The first shot scared the crew, the next two ended with a direct hit of a tank at a distance of 9.5 kilometers.” And although the award is given to one person, everyone talks about why they received it, in the plural: we aim, we shoot, we knock out… Because any work at the front is a team one. Some find equipment and determine its exact coordinates, others search for the best position to shoot, others load the weapon. They say that everyone has a chance to get a certificate, the command, when determining the hero, tries to be fair.
Unfortunately, one of the certificates was awarded posthumously. A Balashikha resident was killed trying to prevent a column of enemy tanks from breaking through our positions. He repeated the feat of Great Patriotic War pilot Nikolai Gastello, sending his wrecked plane into the buildup of armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. His father’s deserved reward was received by his daughter. Presenting him with a money certificate, People’s Artist of Russia Nikolai Baskov said: “It is a great honor for me to be next to you today. We sincerely want to support our soldiers not only with songs, but also financially. And we do it with an open heart.”
The certificates were also presented to the fighters by Sergei Bunin and State Duma deputies Honored Artist of Russia Denis Maidanov and People’s Artist of Russia Dmitry Pevtsov. The latter is a frequent guest on the front line, he says that he communicates a lot with the participants in the special operation and is proud to know each of them.
