Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus Marina Dolmatova noted that voter activity in 49 districts exceeded 50%, in 12 of them – more than 70%. Traditionally, people from the older generation were especially active. In the Kugarchinsky district, even 101-year-old Mukarama Iskhakova went to the polling station.
The republic elects 110 deputies of the State Assembly – Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the seventh convocation, as well as deputies of the representative bodies of local government in Mezhgorye, in two urban settlements and 53 rural areas. In total there are 778 electoral campaigns. More than fourteen thousand people are fighting for deputy mandates. Nine political parties and self-proclaimed candidates are participating in the elections, including five candidates for the State Assembly.
In general, the vote proceeded calmly. As of 5:00 p.m., 87 calls were received on the hotline of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus. They basically contained a request from voters to clarify the voting procedure.
An investigation is underway into a complaint by representatives of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation about the violation of the rights of observers at polling stations in the Kalininsky district of Ufa.
In addition, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus received an appeal regarding the alleged stuffing of ballots in the voting room of PEC No. 504 in Neftekamsk. The Neftekamsk TEC will file a lawsuit to remove the chairman of the district electoral commission from his participation in the work of the district electoral commission of this district. A statement has also been sent to the police to establish the circumstances of the incident. Fixed ballot box No. 1 was sealed. The question of invalidating ballots in this box is being considered.
