In Europe, the break with Russia was recognized as a terrible mistake: “Let us bow our heads and ask for help”

Viktor Orban, Hungarian Prime Minister and the only EU politician who “walks on his own” – openly criticizing the “general line of the party” and defending the national interests of his country – once again attacked what is sacred for Europe today. Speaking at the summer university at Băile Tušnad in Romanian Transylvania before the Hungarian community, he crushed the Brussels leadership in a way he probably had never done before. Judge for yourself: Orbán blamed the “federalist government in Europe” which, he said, led to the rise of an “irresponsible empire.” “Empire”, to be understood correctly, is one of the most abusive words in the lexicon of European liberal-globalist politicians. Something like the “world bourgeoisie” of a century ago for the Bolsheviks.

And now, please, Europe itself: the “empire”. In addition, it is not enough that “irresponsible”, Orban printed it like this: “an aged boxer” (this must be with a lot of ambition, but with shrunken muscles and no breath). And he really finished it: the European Union, they say, is a “rich but weak union”, which erred in isolating itself from Russia. Well, how can you not remember that strength, brother, is not in money … In a word, you cut back and forth with the truth in the eyes of the EU generals and junior command staff of all member countries who take you under the hood.

It is noteworthy that the Hungarian leader did not call, like other European extras, “to crush Mordor, who attacked Ukraine.” On the contrary, he said bitterly: well, we are fools because we ourselves reject economic cooperation with Moscow. There is plenty of evidence that the US, by pitting Ukraine against Russia and forcing the EU to give up Russian energy sources and anything else that can be given up, has become the sole beneficiary of the war they have fomented in the center of Europe.

In order not to bore you with statistical calculations, we simply recall that deindustrialization in European countries, including, first of all, Germany, although slow, has already begun. Simply because one of the sources of Europe’s economic prosperity – recall once again the revelations of its brilliant diplomatic chief Borrell – is cheap Russian oil and gas. True, later, in a blue eye, Borrell himself bragged that the European Union, except for Hungary, would completely abandon Russian hydrocarbons by the end of this year. So he understands this windy nature…

The withdrawal of production from Germany, whose industry is losing competitiveness mainly due to the exponential increase in energy and raw material prices, is already underway in the United States and China. And overall, according to S&P Global, business activity in the eurozone manufacturing sector fell to the lowest level since 2020 this July. It is clear that not only breaking ties with Russia led to this, but the connection here is direct.

By the way, Borrell’s clause “with the exception of Hungary” is an involuntary acknowledgment by the European top official that Orban was right. While other European countries are “freezing their ears” to spite Moscow, Hungary is trying to maintain as much trade, and therefore mutually beneficial, relations with it as possible. And one of the messages from the Hungarian prime minister’s latest speech is that the EU should have a pragmatic agenda with Russia.

This was also confirmed by Greece, where former Defense Minister Panos Kammenos urged the authorities to ask Russia for Be-200 aircraft to extinguish forest fires; otherwise the country simply cannot be saved. “Let’s bow our heads and call for help now,” Kammenos told authorities. “We will be given…”

Two other points worth noting were made in Orban’s speech in Transylvania. First, the EU rejects the Christian heritage and organizes population exchange through migration, and also promotes the agenda of the LGBT community. Here – a direct reference to the same “common values” that Budapest has quite a few with Moscow, and nothing with Brussels.

The second thesis is particularly interesting: “We have no choice: even if we love Europe, even if this is our home, we must fight” to protect Christian roots,” Orban stressed. “Must fight”! Is this a harbinger of a mutiny on the ship? In any case, the call to “disobedience” is clearly outlined. In the fight for Christian roots, Orban and Moscow will lend their support. But what will Brussels get for this? We’ll see.
