The status of the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, director and screenwriter Gleb Panfilov, who was hospitalized in May with a stroke and pneumonia, is assessed as satisfactory.
The director of the Lenkom Theater, Mark Varshaver, told TASS about this, emphasizing that there was no deterioration in the director’s condition.
Gleb Anatolyevich Panfilov was born on May 21, 1934 in Magnitogorsk. He made films “There is no ford on fire”, “Beginning”, “Vassa”, “Mother”, “In the first circle”, “Ivan Denisovich”.
In January of this year, Panfilov’s wife, actress Inna Churikova, died.
