Date: July 27, 2024 Time: 10:28:50

A criminal case was initiated after posts calling for terrorism were published on one of the social networks.

“The court opted for a preventive measure in the form of detention,” says the court’s official statement.

Recall that Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is “public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism.”

According to the investigation, the defendant published posts in a news group calling for terrorist activities in Moscow.

Previously, a 28-year-old businessman was fined one thousand rubles for hooliganism. On May 11, a man insulted a stranger using profanity.

Upon leaving the court, the businessman was detained again and taken to another court, where a case related to “violation of public order in an alcohol market” was heard. The court sentenced Baltrushevich to 10 days of arrest.

And then the man was arrested in connection with calls to terrorism, TASS reports.
