As a result, transport communication between the urban settlement of Smirnykh and the village of Pilvo was interrupted. In this regard, the district prosecutor’s office announced a warning to the head of the Smirnykhovsky urban district.
“A local emergency regime has been introduced on the territory of the district, special road signs have been installed and a contractor has been identified to restore the road,” the Sakhalin oblast’s prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
