The robbery took place in a spirit of mafia action. The attackers blocked the minibus carrying the collection on the way from the airport to the fashion house’s office in Paris. Only the unaccompanied delivery man was in the car.
The attackers stole around 50 garments designed by Rousteing from the fashion house’s new spring-summer 2024 women’s collection, which the stylist was due to present at Paris Fashion Week, Franceinfo reports.
“Today I went to the office at 9 am, waiting for the last bits of our September show. I started creating looks with my team and our driver called us and said he had been the victim of a carjacking by a group of people.” said the fashion designer. “We’re redoing everything, but it’s very disrespectful,” he said.
Paris Fashion Week will be held from September 25 to October 3. The parade of the women’s collection of the Balmain fashion house is scheduled for September 27.
