The agency’s interlocutor added that fans who bought tickets were notified of the cancellation by sending SMS messages.
“Automatic refunds to spectators will be made to their cards,” the ticket sellers added.
They noted that they closed ticket sales a few days before the event.
Previously, Sakhalin Regional Duma deputy Alexander Sharifulin called for a ban on the singer’s performance due to her controversial statements about the Russian special operation.
Last October, the State Duma stated that Russians have every right to demand the cancellation of concerts by suspicious artists. Deputy Alexander Sholokhov then said that residents of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug do not want to listen to the songs of Arbenina and her colleagues after certain statements about Crimea, Donbass and the Northern Military District.
