According to the press service of EMERCOM of Russia in the Kuban, at 9:39 p.m. a message was received about a fire in a six-story residential building on Timiryazev Street. Fire and rescue units were sent to the place of the call in accordance with the range of fire No. 1.
It was found that the attic apartment on an area of 140 square meters caught fire. At 0.56 the fire was extinguished.
As a result, 140 people were evacuated, there were no deaths or injuries. 31 people and eight teams participated in extinguishing the fire.
A mobile operational headquarters headed by the deputy head of the city, Vadim Snegirev, is working at the site of the fire.
“Those in need have been offered a temporary accommodation facility in the Central District,” said the press service of the mayor’s office. “People will receive all necessary assistance. The unimpeded movement of teams around the perimeter of fire extinguishing was complicated by densely parked cars, of which, together with the owners, the police cleared narrow passages.”
It is specified that the fire occurred in a wooden attic, all the necessary forces and means were involved: 40 people and seven teams, including the AL-42 fire escape. There is no threat to neighboring buildings. In the evening, they began to clean up the debris. The causes of the incident will be investigated by the competent authorities.
