According to him, people with similar symptoms of food poisoning began to call an ambulance on the night of September 6-7, and calls came not only from Lgovsky, but also from Konyshevsky districts. It was later learned that 22 people were injured, including a nurse from one of Lgov’s private medical centers. Let us remember that the girl, hospitalized first in the district and then in the regional hospital, died.
Four of the victims are currently being treated in hospital. One of the poisoned people has already recovered and returned to work. The rest are treated on an outpatient basis.
The head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, Oleg Klimushin, added that the cause of the poisoning was staphylococcus: the pathogen was found both in the analyzes of the poisoned people and at the same point where the shawarma was sold. Experts also identified several violations of health regulations and the investigation is still ongoing.
Let us remember that it was also established that the raw material for the preparation of shawarma was meat without the necessary veterinary documents.
