The press service of Ferrocarriles del Norte reported that the accident occurred at eight in the afternoon on December 7 at the Filino station crossing (Avenida Aviador area).
“According to preliminary information, the driver of the vehicle headed towards the crossing without ensuring that no train was approaching. The locomotive driver applied emergency braking, but the distance was insufficient and the collision could not be avoided,” SZD representatives clarified.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Yaroslavl region reported that a female driver born in 1977 and two 13-year-old boys traveling in the vehicle were injured. They are hospitalized. The rolling stock did not derail and the driver was not injured.
In connection with the accident, the Zavolzhsky district prosecutor’s office organized an inspection. The supervisory body will evaluate compliance with the requirements of road safety legislation
