The diplomats demand that European officials “reconsider what is called freedom of expression and the right to demonstrate, and develop a clear collective position to prevent these abuses in front of the embassy buildings of the Republic of Iraq on their land.” In addition, the Foreign Ministry recalled the Government’s call “to adopt international resolutions that classify these events as a crime.”

The organizers of the scandalous action in Copenhagen were the radical right-wing group “Danish Patriots”, which desecrated the holy book of Muslims in the same place a few days ago.
Recall that the scandalous action with the burning of the holy book of Muslims in Sweden on June 28 during the celebration of Eid al-Adha shocked the world community. Baghdad demanded that the Swedish authorities extradite an immigrant who desecrated the Koran. In Iraq, they intended to try the criminal. Representatives from Syria, Turkey, Russia, Indonesia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and other states have strongly criticized the incident.
