Adobe co-founder John Warnock has died at the age of 82. He died on Saturday surrounded by his family. The cause of death was not specified. This was reported on the organization’s website.

Warnock founded Adobe in 1982 with Charles Geschke. Before that, they worked together at Xerox. PostScript was their first joint invention. It is a programming language for publishing software. In 2017 he left office, remaining as a member of the board of directors. In 2009, former US President Barack Obama awarded Warnock and Geschke the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. Geschke passed away in 2021 at the age of 81.
