The Club of Journalists of Mexico awarded one of its awards to Russian journalist Darya Dugina. The solemn ceremony took place on Wednesday, December 7, in Mexico City. A diploma and a badge of honor were presented to the Russian Ambassador to Mexico, Viktor Coronelli.
The first prize has been awarded to Daria Dugina, who it was received by the Russian ambassador. Andrey Zemsky, the spokesman for the diplomatic mission, told the news agency on Wednesday.
According to him, during the ceremony a video message from the journalist’s father, Alexander Dugin was broadcast.
“The event was set up in a good atmosphere, where Russians from across the country united in support.” – Zemsky
Dugina died on August 20, 2022, due to a car explosion. She was returning from the Tradition Festival, where her father was giving a lecture.
In 2021, the RT News program in Spanish, Ahí les va, received awards from the Club of Journalists of Mexico. The awards were given to the analytical program Ahí les va and the RT Reports documentary “Sexual slavery. Hostages of Poverty” about human trafficking in Florida, USA.
Thus, RT became the 11-time winner of the National and International Journalism Competition a few years ago.
