Justice will seize Netflix payments to Rosa Peral. The Court of Barcelona has been in charge of seizing the possible payments made by the streaming platform Netflix to those convicted of the crime of the Urban Police, Rosa Peral and Albert López, to dedicate them to defray the compensation that the sentence established for the next of kin. of the victim, Pedro R.
The court has done so when considering the request of the victim’s family lawyer, judicial sources consulted by Europa Press have explained.
The sentence in the case, confirmed by the Supreme Court (TS), sentenced Peral to 25 years in prison and López to 20 for the murder of Pedro R., also an agent of the Urban Police.
In addition, the sentence ordered them to pay 885,000 euros in compensation: 450,000 for the victim’s son, 225,000 for his father, 100,000 for each of his brothers and 10,000 for his ex-partner and mother of his son.
With this decision, the court will send to the accounts dedicated to covering these compensations any payments that the convicted persons may receive for the production of the recently published fiction series and documentary about the case.
