Kate Winslet became the heroine of the cover of the October issue of Vogue magazine. The photo shoot and interview are timed to coincide with the premiere of a new film with the participation of the actress “Lee”. The film tells about the life and work of model, photographer and later Vogue war correspondent Elizabeth Miller. He covered the horrors of World War II and the work of concentration camps.
The cover story was filmed at Miller’s own home in Sussex. The photographs included in it refer to the photographer’s iconic photographs. Kate Winslet will star in and co-produce Lee’s upcoming biopic. The photographer’s son, who also appeared on the cover, admitted in an interview with Vogue that since the premiere of Titanic he dreamed that Kate would one day play the role of her mother.
“Leigh was a woman who lived her life on her own terms and for that she paid a terrible emotional price. She wanted to tell the story of a fragile middle-aged woman who went to war and documented it,” says Winslet.
