In Grozny, the unyielding Akhmat received the season’s leader, Krasnodar.
The locals opened the scoring in the third minute. After a pass from Brazilian Camilo between two Krasnodar players, Ivan Oleynikov jumped one on one with Matvey Safonov and scored.
Krasnodar then created many scoring chances for the hosts. Juan Córdoba even managed to score, but the goal was disallowed after the VAR review. And yet, the Krasnodar team recovered before the break thanks to a goal from Kadi Borges. The referees initially recorded an offside, but after reviewing the episode the goal was counted.
The result on the scoreboard could have changed in both directions, but the teams did not take advantage of their chances before the break.
At the beginning of the second half, the home team should have taken the lead. Striker Vladimir Ilyin beat everyone, including Matvey Safonov, but hit the post a few meters away.
The result is a tie, which favors the competitors.
