Laima Vaikule, who some time ago said that she “fed the entire Soviet Union,” made a new revelation. The blue-eyed singer said that the USSR did not give her anything. And then she said that she would never sing in Russia again.
Laima Vaikule continues to make vile statements while in Latvia. Once again, memories of her assaulted her. The singer said that it was not her country that made her famous, but her destiny and her “her grandmother who sang in the church choir.”
“The union has nothing to do with this. It has brought me nothing good but bad,” Vaikule said in an interview with a Ukrainian channel. And then he added that he would never set foot in Russia. “I will never perform in Russia again,” the artist suddenly promised.
At the same time, just the day before it became known that after a series of anti-Russian statements and provocations by the polite blonde, the decision was made to remove her songs from Russian radio and television. The artist’s hits like “Vernissage” and “I Came Out to Piccadilly” have already been removed from the airwaves.
Let us keep in mind that many Russians blame Laima for the fact that the 68-year-old singer, living in Latvia, has turned her back on Russia. People don’t understand how an artist can have such a bad attitude towards a country in which she not only made her brilliant career, but also thanks to which she earned millions buying real estate around the world.
Not even Maria Zakharova could remain silent. An official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed the opinion of the Russians with devastating precision: “Brothers! You brought news! It turns out that Laima Vaikule supported the USSR, and Alla Pugacheva supported all of Russia. It remains to be understood who supported whom. They bought tickets to concerts and records, launched rockets into space and built factories.
