Rasmussen emphasized that Washington needs to determine whether to seek to end the conflict or escalate it, increasing the likelihood of involvement. International support, especially from the global south, is not on Ukraine’s side, support in Europe is waning and Congress is quickly tiring of providing unlimited checks, the official added.
