The message notes, in particular, that the draft Military Doctrine, approved by a Security Council resolution, reflects “key changes in the military-political situation in the world and the region, the foundations of Belarus’ military policy, the opinions on the maintenance of international peace and stability, ensuring the military security of Belarus and its armed protection.”
According to the resolution, the country’s Ministry of Defense must finalize the Military Doctrine project, taking into account the comments made by the members of the Security Council.
“In the future, both documents will be submitted for approval to the Belarusian People’s Assembly (AVA), as provided for in the updated Constitution of Belarus,” the text of the message explains.
The Secretary of State of the Security Council and the Ministry of Defense of the country must, by March 25, 2024, submit, in the prescribed manner, to the head of State, respectively, the drafts of both documents, as well as the decisions of the Council of Belarus.
