“We recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with Aelita Dzhioeva, commissioner for children’s rights during the presidency of the Republic. We discussed the first results,” Lvova-Belova wrote on her Telegram channel.

As a result, 10 teenagers from South Ossetia will replace “The day after tomorrow” in September. “The parents of these boys died in the Northeast Military Region and for us it is important to help in their rehabilitation,” emphasized the Ombudsman.

Two institutions of the republic will be equipped with equipment: the Tskhinvali boarding school for orphans and children deprived of parental care and the Center for Psychological Assistance. Russia will help in the treatment of children in South Ossetia in Russian federal clinics and will also send groups of highly specialized specialist doctors and speech therapists to Tskhinvali.

The Ombudsman further reported that a center for adolescents will be opened in the republic, where children will be able to usefully spend their free time. “In particular, we will provide equipment, train specialists and mentors,” he said.

According to the tradition that has developed in the republic, Maria Lvova-Belova laid flowers at the monument to the defenders of South Ossetia in 1989-2008.
