MakSim underwent a course of treatment at a rehabilitation clinic, rested at sea, and on August 19 (after 5 months of absence) returned to the stage.

The 40-year-old singer MakSim first appeared on stage on the evening of August 19 after a long break. Marina Abrosimova (real name of the singer) performed at the Moscow Urban Forum: Luzhniki sang hits with the MakSim Choir, the audience of many thousands greeted the artist very warmly. MakSim became the headliner of the evening, although other artists also performed: but the public was waiting for Marina. The singer looks great, sings live and sings well – check out the video.
MakSim lost some weight. Tanned-the artist had just arrived from a vacation at sea, where she was with her daughters. MakSim recently admitted that she realized her problem – alcohol addiction and she turned to specialists for help. Marina has already completed a course of procedures at a rehabilitation clinic and has gradually begun to return to normal life. Not for the first time. Five years ago, the singer was treated for alcoholism and was able to lead a full life again. Two years ago, MakSim was in intensive care for two months with coronavirus pneumonia and serious complications, after which he returned to an overly active touring life. So there was a new alcoholic breakdown.
But the artist found the strength to admit mistakes and even recorded a video message – MakSim was broadcasting from the clinic. The artist was sitting surrounded by the musicians of her band: “After a serious illness, I started touring, I took on a great responsibility and the promise of doing an unimaginable number of performances. The apogee was the unsuccessful concert in Sochi, when I arrived tired, I really couldn’t stand up. Before leaving, she was on a drip. And I decided that if I drink alcohol now, I will work like a machine. It ended with the interruption of the concert…” Marina explained the unit this way: “My attempt to escape from problems, ailments, unnecessary impressions, emotions through alcohol, which has already become a habit, does not lead to anything. In addition, it leads to huge losses. I came to the conclusion that it is an addiction. And I decided to act, because this is not my life, it is not my story…”
Fans both then and today supported the artist; many specially came to the event for her sake. Fans are already sharing their impressions of her on social networks: noticing how good the artist looks. MakSim sang at the PRO Summer music festival at the Moscow Urban Forum in Luzhniki. The entrance to the concert was free for the spectators. Now Marina plans to gradually return to the stage: first these are mini-concerts, and then she promises solo performances.
