The Meta company (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia. – Approx. BURO.) has released a web version of the new Threads application, a competitor to Twitter. The official launch is scheduled for tomorrow, but the company has “opened the curtain” for a few hours. This was reported by The Verge.
Access was granted to several thousand testers. Thanks to this, the head of Instagram (the social network is banned in Russia. – BURO note.) Adam Mosseri already has almost 2500 subscribers, and Zuckerberg has about 2000.
According to the description, Threads is “a place where communities come together to discuss everything from what’s hot today to what’s hot tomorrow.”
In the application, it will be possible to share text messages, like and repost the posts of other users. Threads can be logged in with an Instagram account.
Elon Musk previously set a limit on the number of tweets users can read during the day. This became known after thousands of users had problems trying to access the site.
