Governor Dmitry Azarov briefed the Prime Minister on the development of health and education systems in the Samara region. The head of the region reported that 691 schools and 62 educational institutions of vocational secondary education are already fully prepared by September 1, and also thanked the government for supporting the remodeling of schools.
In recent years, 9 new schools have been built in the region and there are plans to build 9 more educational institutions.
– This year we will open three new schools, next year – two more, – said the head of the region.
Thanks to the national project, 115 new health facilities were put into operation in the Samara region, 14 thousand units of modern equipment were purchased, and the ambulance fleet was completely updated.
The governor spoke about working with veterans of the special military operation. The region is implementing the “Return” program, which provides rehabilitation, socialization and additional education for veterans. Important results have been achieved in the field of culture and sports. New models of libraries, houses of culture, sports facilities, sports and recreation centers, ice rinks are being built.

The total amount of infrastructure budget loans received by the Samara region is 19.5 billion rubles.
More than 9 billion rubles of such a loan were used to implement the most important project – bypassing Togliatti with the construction of a bridge across the Volga. To date, the project has already been 83 percent implemented. Dmitry Azarov noted that at the moment communication between the right and left banks of the Volga in the region is carried out through the hydroelectric dam. “There are traffic jams 24 hours a day. We are forced to stop even heavy trucks, all transit transportation on weekends so that people can circulate. And of course, the construction of a bridge and a highway is a very important decision”. added the governor.
In addition, 10 billion rubles of an infrastructure budget loan were allocated to complete the construction of the first branch of the Samara metro. It was designed in Soviet times and now includes 11 stations. “Thanks to this support, the once-functioning metro from the outskirts should reach the historic center of the city,” Dmitry Azarov emphasized.
According to the governor, the completion of the construction of the metro line will reduce the interval of train traffic from 15 to 4-6 minutes. In addition, the development of the metro can become a great potential for housing construction, it will provide an opportunity to build an additional 3 million square meters. meters of housing
Advanced financial security budget loans allowed the region to complete this year the facilities planned for construction in 2024.
Thanks to this support, 61.5 kilometers of roads in the Samara region can be put in order. According to the governor, it is planned to buy 309 buses under a special loan from the treasury. Previously, 108 new buses have already been purchased, also thanks to the grant for effective regional management. In addition, an additional 2.5 billion rubles from the Territorial Development Fund made it possible to increase the rate of relocation of people from dilapidated housing, and now it is planned to close the program a year ahead of schedule.
Summarizing the results of the meeting, the Prime Minister noted the region’s progress in various areas. Mikhail Mishustin stressed that he was pleased with the large number of young people in leading industrial enterprises.
– It is very important to interest young people in these high-tech companies. But what is even more pleasing is the success we have in developing health care, in schools, in education, in a number of issues related to the socio-economic development of the region, the Prime Minister noted.
