Russian air defense systems shot down two Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in the DPR and the Zaporozhye region, said Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry.
Another Ukrainian Su-25 was shot down by Russian Aerospace Forces fighters near Grigorovka in the DPR.
Vladimir Rogov said that Ukrainian units made another attempt to storm the defense of the Russian Armed Forces near the village of Rabotina in the Zaporozhye region, but were forced to flee from the oncoming fire.
He added that in the Marfopol area, a special group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed, which was heading towards Dorozhnyanka, an important point for the possibility of an offensive in the Pologovsky direction.
Thomas Whittington, an expert at the Royal Institute for Defense Studies, noted that Russian troops have learned to effectively “jam” Western “smart” glide bombs used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the special operations zone.
