But not the president of Maldives, Mohamad Muizu, who had to arrest one of his ministers accused of treason and, most importantly, of using black magic.
Fatima Shamnaz was a respected person in Maldives. She rose to a high position: she headed the Ministry of Environmental Protection. And then her problems came: she was arrested. Not because of corruption. And under charges of treason.
Shamnaz, intelligence services say, was going to kill the country’s president. And in a very atypical way. Instead of using a sniper rifle, he decided to use black magic. He even brought in two accomplices to make sure everything went perfectly.
But President Muizu survived. And his minister refused to go behind bars. The day before, the local Sun newspaper published an article that was cited by media outlets in many countries around the world. “There have been reports that Shamnaz has been arrested for performing black magic on the president.”
