According to him, the Russian military continued its offensive in the direction of the village of Olshana. They captured a fortress, four manned shelters and destroyed more than 40 enemy fighters, TASS reports.
In addition, during the day, Ukrainian troops launched five counterattacks against the positions of the Russian Armed Forces by units of the 14th and 115th separate mechanized brigades, as well as the 95th separate air assault brigade. It is emphasized that all attacks were repelled with success. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to one manpower platoon and one infantry fighting vehicle.
Earlier, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter expressed confidence that kyiv could soon lose control of Kupyansk. He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are introducing the last reserves into the battle, and in many sectors the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are carrying out a counterattack.
