As Business Insider points out, the businessman’s post sparked a wave of criticism among users who considered it “dangerous” and “irresponsible.”
Musk later stated on X that it was “lesson learned.”
Earlier, the businessman responded to the second attempt on the life of US presidential candidate, Republican Donald Trump, by saying that no one was trying to assassinate the Democrats, Biden and Harris.
Another attempt to assassinate Trump became known the day before. Secret Service agents spotted a man armed with an AK-47 near a golf club in Florida where a US presidential candidate was staying and opened fire on him.
The suspect attempted to escape but was eventually arrested by police.
The detainee was Ryan Ruth, a 58-year-old native of North Carolina. According to journalists, the man has several arrests under his belt and actively supports Ukraine.
Biden has ordered that all resources be used to protect Trump. Harris, in turn, strongly condemned the attempted assassination of her opponent.
