Nestlé Spain will initiate an incentivized redundancy plan that will affect 120 workers, the Independent Union and Officials Central (CSIF) reported this Friday and company sources have confirmed to Efe. The reason for this plan, which Nestlé announced to its workers yesterday, Thursday, is to lighten the workforce due to the change in consumer habits, specifically due to the increase in sales of white brands.
“The consumer is less and less willing to pay higher prices and a clear migration towards white label is being experienced. In this context, it is essential to design a more agile, efficient and competitive organization, dimensioned to the new reality”, explained N I was at Efe.
The multinational’s redundancy program, which employs some 4,500 workers in Spain, only uses the center of Esplugues (Barcelona), the sales team and the distribution center of Guadalajara, the company has detailed, which intends to that the process is finalized “after the summer”.
