The first preview of the fourth season of “Sex Education” appeared on the Netflix YouTube channel. It will premiere on the streaming service on September 21.
According to Variety, the fourth season will be the last of the series. The show’s creator, head writer and executive producer Laurie Nunn wrote in a letter to fans: “We are incredibly proud of ‘Sex Education’ and are indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who put so much soul into it.” in every episode. They’ve been working tirelessly to bring you the series finale, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
The show’s shutdown seemed inevitable as several cast members left the project. Among them are Simon Ashley (Olivia), Tanya Reynolds (Lily), Patricia Allison (Ola) and Rakhi Takrar (Miss Sands).
Shuti Gatwa, despite being busy in the new season of Doctor Who, will appear in the fourth season. Joining him are Gillian Anderson, Aimee Lou Wood, Emma Mackie, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keen, George Robinson, Chinenie Ezeudou, Dua Saleh, and Alistair Petri.
In the new season, Otis and Eric move to Cavendish College after the closure of Moordale School, where they face culture shock. The students considered themselves progressive, but “this new university is on another level. Yoga is practiced daily in the community garden and there is a strong atmosphere of sustainability.”
Previously, the BBC showed images of Shuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson on the set of the new season of Doctor Who: the actors will play the roles of the Fifteenth Doctor and his companion respectively. We talk about it in more detail here.
