The NH brand has announced that it will open its first hotel in Australia. Minor Hotels, the brand’s parent company, will invest 55 million Australian dollars (33 million euros) in the construction of NH Sydney Airport, which is estimated to be completed in 2026.
The hotel will be located in the Mascot neighborhood of the Australian city, specifically in the 102-106 Robey Street area. This places the new property seven kilometers from Sydney’s financial district, as well as being within easy reach of the city’s airport, which serves both domestic and international flights.
The hotel company has indicated in a statement that they will base the offer of the new NH Sydney Airport on the three pillars that consolidate its brand identity, “value for money, the best location to enjoy the city and a service with a clear component human”.
The NH Collection brand will also enter the market
Additionally, the signing of the NH Sydney Airport hotel is being developed in parallel with the construction of the NH Collection Sydney hotel, which is scheduled to open in 2025, becoming the first NH Collection (NH Hotel Group) branded hotel in Australia.
Minor’s CEO, Dilip Rajakarier, said he was “delighted” to launch NH Hotels in the Australian market, “a trusted brand with a great reputation.” For his part, the vice president and CEO of NH Hotel Group, Ramón Aragonés, highlighted that “this hotel represents a new milestone in the international expansion of our brands.”
In the last year, NH Collection has arrived for the first time in the Middle East and Asia, while the NH Hotels brand has made it its own in Asia and is now doing so in Australia.
Finally, the announcement of NH Sydney Airport marks “another significant achievement” for the brand, following the first hotel opening in the Asia/Pacific region in 2022 with the launch of NH Boat Lagoon Phuket Resort in Thailand.
