According to the press service of the Central Directorate for Internal Affairs of the region, the hostess of the house reported the fire to the service unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Semenovsky district. In addition, he stated that three of his minor girls born in 2009, 2015 and 2018 could be in the house. Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered that the children left the burning house on their own, there is no threat to their lives. The suspected source of the fire was also identified: a boiler room with a solid fuel heating boiler, attached to the rear of the house.
According to the children, when the fire started, their father began to break the window panes and told them to jump out of the burning house.
The police officers arrested a man who is the ex-husband of the applicant. At the time the fire started, he was in the same boiler room of the annex building. At the police station, the suspect was unable to explain how the fire started because he was drunk.
According to the press service of the Central Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the damage caused by the fire amounted to 1,229,016 rubles. A criminal case has been initiated. At the request of the investigator, the suspect was detained by the court. He faces hard labor of up to 5 years or imprisonment for the same period.
