Alessandro Del Acqua’s girls are growing up before our eyes, but, to our joy, they remain eccentric in nature. Sometimes they want everything at once, for example, wearing haute couture during the day and going out on the town at night in polo shirts and simple skirts. And vice versa.
In the resort 2025 collection, Del Acqua experiments with volumes and textures. The designer knits a black skirt and jacket set with large stitches, decorates a little black dress and a pencil skirt with a large bow (with which she creates “ears” for emerald ballet slippers), puts on a cargo over some pants (shorts ), but in such a way that the style trick was as visible and appreciated as possible. She decorates a silk jumpsuit with a long colored train and adds “weight” to pastel mini dresses (also silk) with a skirt. Giant hobo bags and a large beaded belt appear here (it can also be worn as a necklace with several strands).
“Today’s fashion is about finding a balance between opposite directions,” the designer explained. “There is a free space for experimentation, where imperfection can coexist with beauty. That’s what I like: being free of errors.”
