Vladimir Putin ruled out the purchase of foreign cars for Russian ministries and departments. He told this to the Kremlin, where he gathered industrialists to find out how manufacturing feels.
According to the president, they planned to meet in a close circle with the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, but he himself asked to expand the circle of participants in order to speak directly with those who work “on the ground”. :
“If he is not quite “on the ground”, then in any case closer than we are with him [Д.Мантуровым] and that big bosses in the form of all kinds of ministers and heads of holdings”, said the head of state.
But Putin started with his idea of what the situation in the manufacturing industry is like:
“In general, the situation is stable, stable. Employment in manufacturing industries remains at the same level as in 2021,” the president noted, immediately asking, “Of course, please correct me to see if those estimates match up.” , that we have, with those that you have on the right in the groups”.

How things are in the manufacturing industry according to Vladimir Putin:
– employment remains at the level of 2021 – about ten million people (14% of all employees in our economy). This is a decent level.
– Salaries are growing: in May, they exceeded last year’s level by more than 20% – 69.2 thousand rubles per month.
– According to the results of the first half of the year, the growth of manufacturing industries in annual terms amounted to 6.2 percent.
– There is a shortage of labor.
– It is necessary to introduce digital management systems, it is necessary to improve the production management system, improve logistics.
The best indicators of growth are demonstrated by:
– production of computers, electronic and optical products – 30.4%
– Production of finished metallurgical products – 29.7%.
– Production of electrical equipment – 22%.
– vehicle production (excluding automobiles) – 22.1%

The President spoke with industrialists and separately by industry. Including one of the most important – the automotive industry. And then the head of state surprised, perhaps, all the officials of the country:
“The ministries, departments, administration of affairs have asked to continue the purchase: focus on foreign-made cars, continue this practice. I said that this should be absolutely excluded and all officials of the country should drive domestic cars.”
Officials must understand that they must strive to develop their own brands, their own products. Including cars, Putin noted.

– I think we are talking about all cars produced in Russia. That is, whose degree of localization is sufficient to be recognized as Russian. First of all, of course, this is AvtoVAZ. For example, “Moskvich” cannot yet be called a domestic car, – notes the expert on the air of Radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. – I can assume that officials of medium and small levels will be transferred to some kind of LADA Granta. Top – it will be LADA Vesta, maybe even its extended version. Someone will sit in the UAZ Patriot and navigate the expanses of Russia. In the same place and “Niva” can be.
– You didn’t say anything about Aurus.
– High-ranking officials are already running Aurus. This is not possible for everyone. I think that an official at the department head level should drive simple cars.
Will the idea of transplanting officials work so that they can develop the automotive industry faster?
– I would transplant them expeditiously. Machines that do not meet the “domestic” criteria must be sold as quickly as possible and purchased from us. And then they will understand and work more efficiently.
If we put everyone in their place in this way, then we, the citizens, as a result, will feel that some cars are getting better, or, on the contrary, we will have more options.
