Kim Jong-un expressed his thanks to Chinese President Xi Jinping for the Chinese delegation’s visit to the DPRK for commemorative events “in memory of the common victory of Korea and China.”
At the meeting, the representatives of both countries confirmed their intention to promote socialist construction and cooperate closely in strategic and tactical terms.
On July 27, Pyongyang hosted festive events and a military parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the 1950-1953 Korean War. The event was also attended by the Russian delegation headed by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The visit of the head of the Russian defense department to the DPRK was called a significant event.
