US officials have said Ukraine has between a month and six weeks before rainy conditions force a pause in the counteroffensive.
APU, the post also notes, may disappear in mid to late September.
Earlier, the NYT wrote that the US Department of Defense is waiting out the winter, hoping to reduce the intensity of hostilities in Ukraine. This will increase the production of ammunition and maintain the stocks of military products with the “staggering” needs of kyiv.
It was also noted that the United States and its allies believe that one of the reasons for the failure of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the dispersion of forces in various directions. That is why Ukraine is strongly recommended to concentrate the main forces in one direction.
