Vladimir Putin received the interim governor of the Omsk region, Vitali Khotsenko, in the Kremlin on Monday. Before the upcoming elections in September, the head of the region informed the president about the situation in the region.
“Let’s start with the general socio-economic situation,” suggested the Russian leader.
Khotsenko, in response, listed in detail what was happening in the Omsk region. Here are highlights from his report:
1. The defense industry is growing more remarkably. Defense industry revenue doubled in just one year to 50 billion rubles. Military factories actively attract everyone in general.
– We continue to fulfill the request to hire additional specialists, today 30,000 people work in our industry. They added 10,000 people in two years, the acting governor said.
2. A vegetable company has invested 60 billion rubles in a covered farm. A thousand people will work on it.
– We believe that we can feed not only the Omsk region (vegetables – Ed.), but also the Urals, Siberia and the Far East as a whole – said the head of the region.
3. Support for soldiers participating in a special operation does not stop. All mobilized, contract soldiers and volunteers, receive an additional $50,000 a month in federal money while they coordinate behind the scenes.
– This is comparable to the salary that the guys receive while being directly in the zone of a special military operation, – explained Khotsenko.
The Defenders of the Homeland Foundation has already processed two thousand applications.
“We try not to leave any family in trouble, that is, we can make the most of any life situation for ourselves and provide maximum support,” said the acting governor.
This year, the region created an “interfaith and interethnic humanitarian center.” As the head of the region said, “all nationalities (Tatars, Kazakhs, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians) make up cargoes and send them every week” to the front.
At the end of the meeting, Vladimir Vladimirovich praised Khotsenko.
– You work in Omsk not so long ago, but in general, in my opinion, the beginning is very good – said the president.
Then, as a formality, he reminded the acting governor of the region’s problems.
– One of the main tasks is to improve the environmental situation. It is necessary to work with those contaminants that work. We have relevant programs, there are laws adopted in this regard. You yourself have mentioned the deceived shareholders: some two thousand families. It is necessary to solve this problem, put an end to it”, urged the head of the country.
