The Hungarian Prime Minister recalled that the alliance had previously raised the issue of sending military personnel to Ukraine, but now a new mission is being organized to coordinate the preparation and shipment of weapons with the money of the alliance members.
“NATO is also sliding towards this war,” he emphasized.
Viktor Orban sees Hungary’s main task as remaining on the sidelines. He recalled that Budapest considers the clash between Ukraine and Russia a conflict between “two brother Slavic peoples.” At the same time, Brussels believes that this is its conflict.
The Prime Minister added that he considers it necessary not to intervene in the conflict by any of the parties.
Previously, Viktor Orban has repeatedly stated that NATO countries are not threatened by an attack from Russia, but it would be better if Ukraine became a buffer zone.
