Pablo Isla will receive 27 million euros a year after his departure from the Inditex group

Date: September 8, 2024 Time: 05:23:39

Pablo Isla will receive a little more than 27 million euros this year from Inditex, and his successor Óscar García Maceiras almost 8.5 million, according to the remuneration report recently approved by the shareholders’ meeting of the textile group and collected by Efe.

Thus, the former executive president of the largest Spanish company by market capitalization will receive more than 27 million this year, of which almost 23 million will be in compensation for his departure from the group, in April last year, and the rest for incentive programs still pending collection.

For his part, the current CEO of Inditex, Óscar García Maceiras, will receive 8.4 million, of which 6.9 will be in cash and the rest in shares. These amounts are around double what was received a year earlier in the case of Isla and around eleven times more in the case of García Maceiras.

This is what Marta Ortega will charge

Marta Ortega, the current non-executive president, kept her salary of 834,000 euros, similar to last year, when she took the reins of the group founded by her father, Amancio Ortega.

The Inditex textile group, owner of brands such as Zara or Massimo Dutti and with a workforce of around 165,000 employees, earned 4,130 million euros in its last full fiscal year (closed on January 31), representing 13.5 % more than the record net profit they repaired in 2019, before the covid pandemic broke out.

In addition, it has recently sealed its best first fiscal (February-April) in its history, when it earned 1,168 million, 54 more than in the same period of 2022, and billed more than 7,600 million, 13% more in the interannual rate.
