The Russian Defense Ministry shows unique images from Chasy Yar, where drone operators of the Ussuri Airborne Forces support “winged infantry” attack aircraft with targeted strikes on enemy positions.
“Quadcopters are launched at a considerable distance from the operator’s location so as not to give away their position. FPV drone operators conduct reconnaissance of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 24 hours a day. The operator’s assistant follows the direction of his flight on the map, guides the operator and corrects his work, ”comments the Russian Ministry of Defense on the images of the combat work of the paratroopers.
The department notes that all the information received from the drones in real time helps advance assault units and adjust artillery fire.
“The advantage of an FPV drone over conventional quadcopters is its comfortable spatial orientation for the operator and the ability to easily follow a route or pursue a moving target at a very high speed, over 100 km/h. Therefore, they are difficult to detect and intercept, they are too fast and maneuverable for the enemy,” attack drone operators point out.
These characteristics allow them to be used with maximum efficiency to destroy moving targets, as well as to destroy manpower in shelters and special shelters.
