From September 21 to 24, the first Metaverse Architecture Biennale called Presence of the Future will take place on two well-known metaverse platforms Decentraland and W3rlds. The event will be the world’s largest immersive online event for architecture, which everyone can visit for free from their own computer.
The main objective of the event is to highlight the important role of architecture in the creation of the metaverse and to attract experts from the design, technology, marketing and business industries to the discussion. The Biennale will demonstrate the possibilities of using Web3 technologies, will reveal the potential of the metaverse environment to scale creative and entrepreneurial ideas.
The exhibition will present virtual projects from architecture studios at the forefront of digital design: ATRIUM, SA lab, Killa Design, LAVA, PLP, Soomeen Hahm, Spaces DAO, DA!, Il Prisma, Iheartblob, Mariana Cabugueira Studios, Synthesis and Illusorr. In addition to them, 15 most talented architects who were selected in the creative open call will participate in the event. The jury, which included well-known architects, journalists and representatives of the Web3 industry, chose the most interesting projects from among more than ninety applications submitted to the competition.
During the four days of the festival, visitors will be able to move between the two platforms and explore virtual pavilions, as well as participate in conferences, discovering new ways to use the metaverse for entertainment and business.
“We are delighted to introduce the world to the first Metaverse Architecture Biennale, where we will demonstrate the value of architecture in the virtual environment. We truly believe that architecture will play an integral role in the creation of the metaverse, comparable to the role of graphic design in the creation of the Internet we use now,” says Sergey Nadtochiy, co-organizer and curator of the Metaverse Architecture Biennale. .
