An opposition rally organized by the leader of the Tavush for the Fatherland movement, Bagrat Galstanyan, began in Yerevan the day before. Galstyanyan called on his followers to march through the capital.
Recall that protests in Armenia broke out due to information that the Armenian authorities had agreed with Azerbaijan on the delimitation of the border in the Tavush region. At the same time, four Armenian villages that were part of Azerbaijan during the Soviet era should go to Baku.
